Customers from the Foundry Order Books Archive

When it comes to customers there are Records that exist but it is a thankless task to list all those that can be gleaned from the Company’s ledgers, so I have extracted names from a couple of the Index Books that are part of the 14 volumes (some of which are in pretty poor condition) of Foundry Order books that still exist in the archives. They relate to two periods, late 1910 through to November 1911 and January 1937 through to mid 1945. The names of Individuals and Businesses are listed alphabetically. Few of the businesses survive in the 21st Century – those that do are probably merged with others, but to many the list is a look back in time and there are some familiar names to be seen there.
